How All Good Parts Sources and Tests Used Engines Before Listing

It may be a stressful experience when predicting a good used engine, and you fear that there might be something wrong with it or it may not have good quality inspections.

The All Good Parts have realized that all customers desire an engine they can rely on and confidence begins long before the engine is put up for sale. We have developed our process with an emphasis on sourcing carefully, testing thoroughly, and quality control being displayed in an open manner.

It ensures that the customers get engines that are reliable, professionally tested, and can be used over a long period of time.

Where We Source Our Engines

Most of the engines sourced by All Good Parts are taken from the Japanese cars which are bought in auctions. We are also not buying engines sold by strangers or unverified auctions since they most usually have incomplete histories or are poorly maintained.

We import engines instead, which are checked during the time of purchase, usually of low-kilometre cars or of crash-damaged cars on which the engine itself is in excellent running condition.

This managed strategy would make sure that all the engines have started their journey with us in a reliable location.

Primary Evaluation

When an engine arrives at our workshop, our team takes a visual and structural examination first. This includes inspection of oil leakages, broken housings, dotted sensors, broken mounts or overheating.

Everything is looked into as even slight anomalies can be an indication of some underlying conditions. All hoses, plugs, and connectors are examined to know whether they should be replaced or repaired.

The step assists us in determining at a glance whether an engine is a good resale or it needs to be disqualified beyond the point of further testing.

Mechanical Checks and Compression Checks

The second phase is more technical testing. Compression tests are done by our mechanics so that every cylinder generates the right pressure.

Those engines who fail this test are automatically done away with because low compression usually indicates internal damages like worn out piston rings or valve issues. We also check oil pressure, check on spark quality where needed and check on internal sludge that may impact on long term performance.

The engines that pass all mechanical checks are the only ones that progress in the process.

Performance Testing and Running

As much as possible, tests on engines are conducted whilst still in the donor car. Efforts to run an engine in the original set-up provide the best information concerning the noise levels, smoothness during idle, and the level of clarity in exhausts and responsiveness.

When the car is so poor that it breaks down, we test the conditions of the car using specialised equipment. At this stage, we have our technicians who are listening to identify any unusual sounds, any irregular vibrations, and temperature checks.

Engines with erratic behaviour are shelved and fail to get to listing level.

Washing, Processing and Quality Control

Once an engine has undergone performance tests, it will be completely cleaned and prepared. Fluids of old age are emptied, exterior surfaces are greased off, and all parts that can be removed are examined separately.

Sensors, seals and other minor external components are changed when needed to make the engine fit to be installed again. Our inventory system is a final check that is made after the engine is added to our inventory system.

This encompasses the cross check of engine codes, compatibility details and condition reports generated in the course of testing.

Final Listing With Full Disclosure

It is not until an engine has gone through all the phases that we put it on our site.

Each posted listing contains proper data like engine code, model compatibility and condition notes as per genuine inspection and not general description.

We also offer a warranty so that customers are confident of their investment in the company because the engine is tested and comes with an after sales warranty.

How Our Process is Important to Customers

It is not an ordinary part, but it is the heart of the vehicle, a used engine.

All Good Parts has guaranteed the customers get engines that have actually been tested and not just cleaned and marketed as such by carefully sourcing and testing to ensure that what they get is of quality.

We are also dedicated to the idea of transparency, mechanical precision, and test on industry standards to ensure that buyers have confidence in the fact that they are picking an engine that has been constructed to last.
